Songbird Night at the Museum
Did you know there are over 4000 species in songbirds in the world? From mockingbirds to warblers, nightingales to lyrebirds, these singers are renowned (and often named) for their vocal talents. Come get a glimpse of some members of this melodically gifted group as we look into the museum's collection of songbirds!
Kid's Activity - Construct your own bird feeder from entirely biodegradable materials and attract local songbirds to your own backyard!
Specimen preparation - As always, our Collections Manager will be turning dead animals into museum specimens. You can ask questions and get hands-on with his dissections and preparations.
Visiting Experts - Scientists from the 兔子先生 will share with us how we study songbirds today!
This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in event!
