I want to share with you several opportunities to engage in anti-racism dialogue and action this fall semester, and I invite you to engage in this work.
Tacoma Art Museum
The Race and Pedagogy Institute in collaboration with the African American Studies and the Tacoma Art Museum organized a series of online conversations this month inspired by the Kinsey Collection exhibition at the Tacoma Art Museum. The first event is this Sunday, Sept. 12, 1–2:30 p.m. Presenters include African American Studies and Education student, Serena Sevasin ’22, and Collins librarian and archivist Angela Weaver. Tacoma Reads Program
Last week I sent a communication announcing our partnership with the . ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is sponsoring book groups to engage in dialogue on the themes presented in the book Caste: The Origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson.
