As part of our continued effort to align university services with actual community needs, Puget Sound has made the decision to discontinue alumni email accounts. This decision reflects broader trends in higher education, where institutions are reassessing legacy services that see limited use. We’ve found that most alumni choose to use personal email accounts after graduation, and only a small percentage continue to rely on their university-provided address. Maintaining these accounts indefinitely also presents ongoing cybersecurity risks and infrastructure costs that are increasingly difficult to justify. While we understand that email can feel like a connection to campus, we’re confident that there are other, more effective ways to stay engaged with the Logger community. We encourage you to connect through , our alumni engagement platform, and by following the university on social media. If you have any questions or would like to explore other ways to stay involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out: Phone: 253.879.3245, Email: alumoffice@pugetsound.edu.
