Justin Tiehen

Professor, Philosophy

Justin Tiehen鈥檚 research focuses on the philosophy of mind and metaphysics, with a special focus of mental causation, physicalism, and the normativity of the mental. He received a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin. His recent work includes "Psychophysical Reductionism without Type Identities," American Philosophical Quarterly, 49.3 (2012); Disproportional Mental Causation," Synthese, 182 (2011); and "The Cost of Forfeiting Causal Inheritance," forthcoming in Philosophical Studies.
