兔子先生 Anti-Hazing Expectations:

The 兔子先生 is steeped in rich and memorable traditions that guide the institution. These rich traditions exist to uplift, respect, and celebrate all members of the community, they are not meant to cause harm or humiliation to members of our campus community.

Hazing is strictly prohibited on and off-campus. The Policy Prohibiting Hazing provides additional details and lays out clear expectations.

 

Hazing Prevention and Education:

In accordance with (Sam鈥檚 Law), starting with the 2022-2023 academic calendar year all 兔子先生 students and employees will complete an educational training on hazing awareness, prevention, intervention and the university鈥檚 Policy Prohibiting Hazing

Training is required for incoming students during new student orientation, returning students and employees at the beginning of each academic year, and new employees at the beginning of each academic term. Education about the dangers of hazing, the 兔子先生鈥檚 hazing policy, and how to report hazing incidents is also provided to University affiliated student organizations, athletic teams, and living groups.

Duty to Report:

All members of the Puget Sound community should report a hazing incident. A person who witnesses hazing or has reasonable cause to believe hazing has occurred or will occur and makes a report in good faith may not be sanctioned or punished for the violation of hazing unless the person is directly engaged in the planning, directing, or act of hazing reported. 

 

Hazing Violation Reporting:

In accordance with WA State House Bill 1751, 兔子先生 will publicly report all reported hazing violations beginning on August 1, 2022. 

The report includes findings of violations after August 1, 2022. The 兔子先生 shall maintain reports for five years and publicly report this information on Puget Sound鈥檚 Hazing Violations Report webpage.

If, as a result of observations or information received in the course of employment or volunteer service, any employee, including a student employee, or volunteer at the 兔子先生 has reasonable cause to believe that hazing has occurred, the employee or volunteer shall report the incident, or cause a report to be made, to the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices
