Connections 100-level seminars
First-Year Seminars at Puget Sound welcome students to our academic community, connect them with academic success resources, and engage them in the process of academic reading and writing. Students take a Connections 100-level course in the fall semester, and a Critical Conversations Seminar (CCS) in the spring.
In the first seminar in this sequence, students integrate the introduction to the liberal arts with the development of skills for lifelong learning in diverse communities. This course explores meaningful examples of disciplinary and multidisciplinary inquiry grounded in the substantive theme of the course, facilitates students’ exploration of their own Puget Sound curricular and co-curricular interests, and includes a student-directed collective project or similar collaboration that relates to the substantive theme of the course.
