Our admission counselors help international students navigate credit transfers and visa status, and once you’re here, our college community will help you feel welcome.

All documents must be in English and must be sent directly to Puget Sound by the issuing institution or by an official translating service. We cannot accept transcripts or letters of recommendation submitted by the applicant.

  • Application fee*
    • *Waived for students attending a WA state community college.
  • International verification of finances form
  • Official high school transcript 
    • Only for students who have earned less than one year of college credit after graduating from high school
  • Official college transcript from every college attended
  • Academic evaluation (recommendation) from a college instructor
  • College report form
  • English proficiency score (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo):
    • Required if primary language of instruction is not English
    • A minimum score of 80 on the TOEFL IBT, 6.5 on the IELTS, or 105 on the Duolingo English Test is recommended.
    • If English was the language of instruction at the college or university you previously attended, you are exempt from the proof of English proficiency. 
  • Automatically considered:
    • Merit-based scholarships – up to $45,000 per year
    • International Student Scholarship – $2,000 per year
    • Transfer Scholarship – up to $4,000 per year
  • Additional application or steps required:
    • Talent-based Scholarships (Music, Theatre, Art & Art History, Forensics) – amounts vary and additional deadlines apply
    • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship – $1,000 per year
    • Visit Scholarship – $3,000 per year
  • Aug 1: Application Opens

  • July 15: Transfer Regular Decision Deadline
 

To complete their application, students must fill out and submit the International Verification of Finances Form (IVFF) [PDF] (and located in the applicant portal) including appropriate documentation. Additional financial documentation is not required. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú does not accept the CSS Profile or the International Student Financial Aid Application.
