Fall 2025

Co-Readers are specially trained tutors who help students read more knowledgeably and fluently in the humanities and social sciences. As more experienced readers in their major and minor fields, they model for students how to approach different types of readings in different disciplines.

Campbell, CWL Writing & Speaking Advisor 2024

Hey there! My name is Campbell, and I am a Sociology and Anthropology major with minors in Crime, Law, and Justice and Religion. I’m also a Writing and Speaking Advisor here at the CWL! I'm from Denver, CO but I love living in Washington!! When I'm not studying, I love to drink coffee, hike, watch movies, and go to concerts. I'm happy to help brainstorm, edit, or chat through a paper or reading, and I can't wait to meet you all, so swing by!

Charley, CWL Subject Tutor

Bonjour! My name is Charley (they/them) and I'm from Redwood City, California. I'm a junior here at UPS, majoring in English and Communications, with a double minor in French and Spanish! I’m also the French tutor here at the CWL! Outside of class, you can find me at Divs, rollerblading on the Slab, or dancing with RDG!

Emma, 2024 CWL Subject Tutor

My name is Emma (she/her), and I am returning to the CWL this Fall as a co-reader. This is a new position as of last-Spring, and it is largely geared towards those looking for support with reading comprehension. I am a Politics, History, and German studies student here, and previously worked at the CWL as a German language tutor. As a senior with years of experience reading and analyzing difficult political and historical texts, I am here to provide tips and support as you navigate academic jargon and complex literature more generally. I hope to meet you soon and I look forward to reading together!
